Community Management Solutions, Inc. was formed on June 1, 1995 by the merger of two existing companies that specialize in community association management - Golob Real Estate, Inc. and Kathleen L. Kato, CPA. Golob Real Estate, Inc. was founded on October 1, 1984 and incorporated in July of 1989 by Edward R. Golob, Jr., PCAM® who has been involved with real estate management since 1970 and with community association management since 1979. Ed is a licensed RE broker, member of CAI National Faculty and is a past president of the local CAI chapter. Kathleen, shareholder and Vice-President of CMS, is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 20 years experience in the field of Common Interest Realty Associations (CIRA's). Prior to her individual public accounting practice formation in 1987, she had six years of experience as an auditor of community associations. From 1987 until 1995, at which time she and Ed Golob merged to form CMS, Kathleen provided financial management and tax preparation to associations as well as to the general business community. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Kathleen is a Past-President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Pubic Accountants (PICPA) and currently serves on the PICPA Ethics Committee. |
